General Manager

Zaha Travels is looking for an experienced and commercially driven General Manager to lead our growing travel business. We are looking specifically for someone who understands the travel agency business and has previous experience in a managerial, supervisory, or senior position within a travel agency, Destination Management Company (DMC), tour operator, or similar travel business. As General Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and performance of Zaha Travels, including our B2C and B2B business, sales, reservations and operations, customer experience, supplier relationships, team performance, profitability, and continued business growth. Key Responsibilities • Lead the overall day-to-day operations of Zaha Travels • Drive sales, revenue, gross profit, and profitability • Manage and develop B2C and B2B business • Lead and develop the Zaha Travels team • Oversee reservations and travel operations • Strengthen relationships with resorts, hotels, suppliers, travel agencies, and tour operators • Develop new B2B partnerships and source-market opportunities • Monitor sales conversions, margins, service standards, and operational performance • Work with Commercial and Marketing teams on packages, promotions, and market development • Ensure excellent customer experience from enquiry through completion of travel • Report business performance and opportunities to senior management What We're Looking For • Minimum 2 years of experience in a managerial, supervisory, or senior role within a travel agency, DMC, tour operator, or similar travel business • Strong understanding of travel agency sales, reservations, and operations • Proven leadership and team-management ability • Strong commercial and sales mindset • Experience dealing with tourism suppliers and/or travel-trade partners • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills • Good command of written and spoken English • Maldives destination experience is an added advantage • B2C and B2B travel experience is highly desirable Salary & Benefits MVR 25,000 per month + Performance Bonus Performance bonuses will be linked to agreed business and individual KPIs, providing additional earning potential based on results.
